About Dr. Wendy

bio photo (1)_edited.jpg

Wendy Bisset, MD, ABOIM, IFM-CP, MA has been a family physician for over 25 years. She grew up in Connecticut and subsequently settled in the mid-West enjoying life as a country doctor and homesteader. She also has embraced the work of medical missions, traveling to Africa, India, Latin America, and the inner city of Washington, DC among homeless and immigrants. Her most impactful experience was serving with Mother Teresa and her sisters which shaped her faith and desire to care for the underserved. Subsequently, Dr. Wendy adopted two children from Colombia, South America who are the greatest blessings of her life.

While in rural Kansas, she became disillusioned with conventional medicine and took a deep dive into functional medicine and naturopathic training. In 2021, she opted to change careers and was employed by Parsley Health, a functional telemedicine company. While there, she cultivated a passion and expertise in BHRT, hormone imbalances, peptides, gut disorders, holistic mental health, and regenerative medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Wendy noticed how often mid-life women are gaslit, dismissed, and/or too quickly medicated in our current health care system. Dr. Wendy decided to launch her practice in order to ensure that every woman’s whole story was well heard and understood. She also has a heart for women in crisis and is committed to tithe ten percent of her business earnings. (refer to outreaches)

When not working, Dr. Wendy may most likely be found hiking with her dog Asher, reading on her porch chair or in a book club, visiting local farmer’s markets, enjoying nutritious-oriented meals with her teenagers, or attending a local barre class.

Why I Created At The Well

Like many women, I experienced the challenges of midlife firsthand. As I navigated menopause while balancing the demands of family, career, and caring for others, I faced migraines, weight gain, fatigue, and the effects of chronic stress. Rather than accepting these changes as inevitable, I began a deeper journey to understand what my body needed to heal and thrive.

That journey transformed both my health and my medical practice. Today, my greatest passion is helping other women experience the same hope, clarity, and renewed vitality.
