PRP Facial
Are You Noticing Signs of Skin Aging? You may be a candidate for a PRP Facial!
If you are concerned about: Dull or uneven skin tone, Fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth, rough or uneven skin texture, or skin that appears less firm, scars from acne, injury, or chickenpox.
A PRP Facial combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood. This treatment may help improve the appearance of skin texture, tone, fine lines, and certain scars, supporting a more refreshed and vibrant-looking complexion.
What Is a PRP Facial?
A PRP Facial is a nonsurgical treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood in combination with microneedling to support skin rejuvenation of the face, neck, and décolleté (upper chest). A topical numbing cream is first applied to the treatment area for comfort. A small amount of blood is then drawn and placed in a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood components. Once the skin is numb, a microneedling pen creates tiny, controlled microchannels in the skin. The PRP is then applied to the treated area and allowed to absorb through these microchannels. PRP contains platelets and naturally occurring growth factors that may support the skin’s healing response and improve the appearance of texture, tone, fine lines, and certain scars.
The Results:
After your PRP Facial, the treated area may appear red and mildly swollen for 12–24 hours. These effects are typically temporary and should not be painful. Mild peeling or flaking may occur over the following several days as your skin heals. Within approximately 24 hours, you may begin to notice a brighter, smoother appearance in the treated area. Improvements in skin tone, texture, and the appearance of scars may continue to develop over time. Results vary by individual, and several, sequential treatments may be recommended based on your skin concerns and treatment goals.
